1 stick of butter & (3T for step 2)
1c. brown sugar
2T fresh chopped garlic
"Heavy hand" grinder salt/pepper
3 boxes beef stock
5 Knorrs Beef Cubes
1-2T. Worcestershire sauce
2-3 Large cloves of garlic, minced
1 bottle dry cooking sherry
1 tsp dried thyme
2 small bay leaves
Homemade croutons - 2 baguettes cut into crouton sized chunks. Spray or toss with olive oil. Season with Nature's Seasoning and bake 10- 12 min at 375°. | Directions | Step 1- Melt stick butter and sugar into Dutch oven. Add in all onions and go heavy on salt & pepper. Stir well. Put lid on and simmer on med-low 30-45 min, until onions are soft, caramelizing and floating in their own juices.
Step 2- Add rest of ingredients into the 'onion soup'. Put lid back on and cook an additional hour.
Step 3- throw some homemade croutons in top, cover with Swiss or guyeure cheese.
