1/3 c. steak sauce
1 c. crushed saltines
1 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp seasoned salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1.5 lbs ground beef
6-7 tbsp mayo
6-7 sub buns, split
9-11 slices american cheese, cut into strips
1 (14 ounce) jar pizza sauce
2 c. shredded mozzarella
| Directions | -Preheat oven to 375.
-In a large bowl combine the egg, steak sauce, saltines, onion powder, salt and pepper.
-Crumble the beef over the mixture and mix well.
-shape into 1.5 inch balls
-place meatballs on a greased rack in a shallow baking pan
-bake 20-25 minutes, or until no longer pink. drain on paper towels
-Spread mayo over bun bottoms, cover with american cheese, and 1 tbsp pizza sauce.
- place meatballs on bottom bun, then top with more pizza sauce.
-sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and add top bun.
-place on baking sheet and bake 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted. | Notes | |
