Best Ribs EVER!!! (print)
Provided By: Mom
Description: Recipe is for 2# of ribs which serves about 2-3 people. I also have the directions for 6# of ribs . The directions for the 6# is in parenthesis.
Ingredients
-1.5 TBSP. smoked paprika (3 TBSP)
-1 TBSP light brown sugar (2 TBSP)
-1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper (1/4 tsp)
-S & P (I use Kosher salt or sea salt, the larger granules)
-1 large BBQ sauce of your choice
-2# pork baby back ribs (6#) - leave the membrane on the ribs to help hold them together.

(I always wear gloves so I don't get the cayenne or the smokey paprika on my hands. I also make extra of the rub, so that there is plenty. I dry the ribs with a paper towel. Then I have the rub in a bowl, cut the rack of ribs into about 4 pieces, then push each piece into the bowl, turn over and do the other side also.

-Spray lightly the walls of the crockpot with PAM. Arrange ribs by standing them up against the wall of the stoneware pot, thicker side down, and meaty side against the pot. Pour about 1/4 - 1/2 of the BBQ sauce over the ribs (I pull them slightly forward and drizzle some also between the ribs and the pot) *If you do not have enough room for all of the ribs to fit against the wall, you can always lay them on the bottom and cover with sauce. Cover and cook for 6-8 hours on low (I did 7 hours and they were perfect!)
-carefully take ribs out of crockpot with spatula...they will be very tender!
-I line a cookie sheet with foil and place a cooling rack onto the sheet. I place the ribs onto the rack, meat side down and put some more BBQ sauce on them. Put under the broiler for a few minutes. Turn rack of ribs to the other side so that meaty side is up. Put more BBQ sauce on, and place back under the broiler for a few minutes until they start to brown. Take out and ENJOY!!!!!
