Garlic Butter Baked Crab Legs (print)
Provided By: Kelly
Description:
Ingredients
2 lbs Crab legs (prepare about 1 pound per person)
½ cup butter (1 stick)
½ head garlic (about 5 cloves), pressed (5 tsp of jar minced garlic)
½ lemon juice of fresh lemon OR ½ lime juice of fresh lime (about 3 Tbs of the bottled juice)
1/8 cup extra virgin olive oil (2 Tbs)
sea salt (optional)
dried parsley (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small saucepan, over med/low heat, melt butter. Add the garlic and lightly sauté. Squeeze in lemon or lime. Add salt to taste and few pinches of parsley. Let simmer on low until oven fully heated.

Arrange crab legs in baking dish (extra large foil pan) and brush with butter sauce. For added flavor use an injector to add some inside the shell. Pour and remaining sauce over legs.

Bake uncovered, for about 25 minutes depending on thickness.

Use the butter mixture from baking pan for dipping crab meat.
Notes
Almost all US crab legs are cooked on crab boats or immediately at landfall, then frozen to preserve freshness. Cooking them is just a matter of reheating them.
