1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. milk
3/4 c. butter (1 and 1/2 sticks) melted
2 TBLS sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 large eggs | Directions | 1. Heat a waffle iron, in a large bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
2. Whisk together milk, butter, sugar and vanilla in a medium bowl. Whisk in eggs, then pour in milk mixture into dry ingredients and whisk until just combined.
3. Pour in batter onto waffle iron, spreading to each corner. Cook until waffle is golden brown.
Makes 8 waffles. | Notes | To make double chocolate chip waffles add 1/2 c. cocoa powder and 1 c. mini chocolate chips to batter and mix thoroughly before pouring onto waffle iron. |
