2 onions (chopped)
1/4 c. minced garlic
olive oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 jars Ragu
6 cans generic tomato sauce
2 cans black olives (I slice them)
2 pkgs. sliced mushrooms
1/2 bottle cheap red wine
Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic salt and onion powder to taste
Homemade Meatballs:
4 lbs. ground beef
6 eggs
splash of milk
1/4 c. minced garlic
1 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup green canister parm. (shaker cheese)
1/2 cup shredded parm.
couple good shakes of Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic salt and onion powder | Directions | Meatballs:
-Knead everything together
-Roll into balls and place on a foil lined baking sheet (very important as the grease will ruin your sheet otherwise!!!)
-Bake at 350 until cooked through (about 30 min.)
-Add to sauce
Sauce:
-In your pot, saute chopped onions and mushrooms in olive oil and garlc until cooked
-Add wine, sugar and olives...simmer 5 minutes
-Add in cans of tomato sauce and Ragu
--Give flavor with Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic salt and onion powder to taste | Notes | |
