| Chinese | Lo Mein (print) | Provided By: Katie | Description: Our famous Lo Mein...so yummy!!! | Ingredients | Sauce: (completely done to taste...the measurements are simply a guide)
1/4 - 1/2 sauce pan H2O
1/2 - 1c. soy sauce
4T. -8T. oyster sauce
2T. - 4T. hoison sauce
2T. - 4T. chicken boullion granules
2T.- 4T. sugar
1/2 - 1T. garlic powder
pepper to taste
*Boil together, let sit, thicken at end with water/flour paste*
Lo Mein:
1 package refrigerated lo mein noodles
1 pkg. celery
1 white onion
1 bunch broccoli (buying broccoli slaw eliminates the slicing of the broccoli!!!)
1 bag bean sprouts | Directions | Sauce:
-Boil together, let sit, thicken at end with water/flour paste*
Lo Mein:
- slice and blanche veggies
- once blanched, remove from water and set into wok temporarily (save the water)
- cook noodles in veggie water, drain (leave hot) and mix with veggies into the H2O pan
- Cook sliced chicken in wok with EVOO and 2 heaping teaspoons minced garlic
- pour sauce over top of chicken and juices, mix saucey chicken into veggie noodle pan. | Notes | |
