( I know no-bake are easier but it works better if you use real ones, boil, drain and pat dry)
Red Sauce:
1 lb. ground beef
1 sausage chub
1 diced white onion
1 package sliced mushrooms
3 T. minced garlic
1 cup red wine
2 jars spaghetti sauce, your favorite brand
2 T. Italian seasoning (oregano/basil)
1 T. onion powder
1 T. garlic powder
3 T. sugar
White Sauce:
1 tub ricotta cheese
1 tub small curd cottage cheese
3 eggs
Salt and pepper
1 jumbo bag shredded mozzarella
| Directions | Cook noodles if not using no-bake ones. Drain and pat dry. Cook beef, sausage, onion, garlic and mushrooms together. Drain off fat. Add in rest of "red sauce" ingredients and simmer about ten minutes. Combine all "white sauce" ingredients in a bowl. Lasagna should be layered in this order:
1- Thin layer of red sauce on bottom of pan
2- noodles
3- white sauce
4- red sauce
5- cheese
REPEAT STEPS 2-5 UNTIL YOU GET TO THE TOP OF PAN, MAKE CHEESE TOP LAYER!
Bake at 350 degrees until nice and bubbly, about 30- 40 minutes. Watch for top cheese not to burn!!! Cool before serving or you'll have slop instead of lasagna:) | Notes | |
